This year, Moore Farms Botanical Garden is thrilled to offer a free garden open day each month from March through December. These days will offer a self-guided exploration of the garden and will occur rain or shine. Come out anytime from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and see what the garden has to offer at all times of the year. There will be drinks and small snacks available for purchase with cash.
Garden Open: Bulbapalooza
Saturday, March 24th: Come out and roam the garden to enjoy the gorgeous bulb show! There will be an exquisite spring display including waves of daffodils, alliums, anemones, tulips and more. Visitors can enjoy self-guided exploration of the grounds during the day.
Garden Open: All About the Art
Friday, April 20th-Saturday, April 28th: The garden is open for free during the week of ArtFields! Tucked within different garden “rooms” are numerous artistic pieces including sculptures, fountains, benches and more. Throughout your self-guided experience, you will stroll through our unique garden design and creative elements, including intricate turf designs, whimsical plantings and the 6000ft2 green roof and living wall. Enjoy the garden any day from Friday, April 20th to Saturday, April 28th. Please note that we are closed on Sunday, April 22nd.
Garden Open: May Days
Saturday, May 19th: Self-guided exploration is just what you need this spring! The entire garden will be open during May Days so guests can roam the garden, find their favorite plants to photograph, and spend time in a relaxing corner of the grounds.
Garden Open: It’s Summertime!
Saturday, June 9th: Enjoy a walk in the garden to kick off summer! Celebrate the beginning of summer with a trip to Moore Farms Botanical Garden. The horticulturists’ carefully designed change outs will be filling the beds, so there will be lots of new plants to view.
Garden Open: July In Bloom
Saturday, July 21st: Enjoy a walk in the garden during the heart of summer! Crepe myrtles will be presenting stand out blooms and you’ll be able to see tropical plants enjoying the weather they love the most. Busy pollinators will be out and about, so don’t miss this opportunity for self-guided exploration of the grounds.
Garden Open: Back to School
Saturday, August 11th: Enjoy a walk in the garden before school begins! Despite the heat, the plants will be putting their best leaves forward during August. Check out our beautiful ponds and relaxing oasis the garden becomes during the heat of the summer.
Garden Open: Stroll in September
Saturday, September 22nd: The weather is cooling down and the plants are bursting with beautiful growth. The garden will be full of vegetables, stunning flowers, perennials, and foliage galore. Come stroll the garden to experience the 65-acre botanical garden as the plants grow and chance throughout the year.
Garden Open: Celebrate Fall
Saturday, October 13th: Fall is here so let’s celebrate! The garden will be at its peak, featuring ornamental grasses, swamp sunflowers, camellias and many annual displays that will be exploding from their beds. Come stroll the garden to experience the crisp autumn air like never before.
Garden Open: Nature in November
Saturday, November 3rd: Enjoy nature with a stroll around the garden. Plants will be in their full glory celebrating the last of the warmth of fall and hues of green, orange, and yellow will be glowing everywhere. You’ll be able to wander the garden, take photographs, get inspiration for your home landscapes, or just relax during the Nature in November Garden Open.
Garden Open: Winter Wonderland
Saturday, December 1st: Enjoy the cool weather with a walk in the garden! The garden will be shining with beautiful berries, bark, and winter blooming annuals and shrubs. Come stroll the garden to see all that winter has to offer.
