Art of Gardening Tours
Come tour Moore Farms Botanical Garden from April 24th through April 30th at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm each day. Stroll through the garden with our staff experiencing the picturesque views, artistic plantings and living sculptures along the way. In tune with ArtFields, this tour will emphasize garden design, sculptures and creative elements, including intricate turf designs, whimsical plantings, art pieces and the 6000ft2 green roof and living wall.
These tours coincide with ArtFields®, an epic art competition and celebration held in the historic community of Lake City, South Carolina. This 10-day event features unique art, live music, dancing, delicious Southern foods and cash prizes totaling over $100,000 that will be awarded to winning artists. www.artfieldssc.org/
Register early since each tour is limited to the first 20 people. Registration is $5 per person and these tours occur rain or shine. No refunds will be made due to inclement weather. Plan on wearing comfortable shoes and spending 1.5 to 2 hours on the tour.

Let’s take a walk
Join our staff on an enjoyable and information packed stroll through the garden. Guided visits to the green roof and living wall, complete with an up close view on an elevated catwalk, are also included. Tours are the perfect option if your group is looking for a more personalized and thorough interpretation of the garden, as you’ll gain unique insight into design concepts, plant identification, gardening techniques, the history of the site and more.
Tours last a maximum of two hours and are by appointment only. Remember, appointments for tours will only be accepted for groups of 10 or more. If you do not meet the group size requirement, then consider attending one of the events or our educational classes. To provide a more intimate experience, groups of 25 or more will be divided and guided separately. Since many of the garden pathways are turf, please be prepared for easy, but extensive walking. The screened in porch overlooking the Fire Tower Gardens is a great place to end a tour with lunch. This porch holds 18 people comfortably and costs $25 to rent. A list of caterers can be provided if requested.
We ask that you make your inquiry no later than two weeks in advance of the requested tour date. Tours are subject to availability and we reserve the right to cancel tours for any reason. No weekend tours are offered at this time.
