Plant ID: Bulbs and Annuals
Saturday, March 28, 2020
10 AM – 2PM
Cost: $20 per person
When flowers bloom, you’re probably not thinking much about the part of the plant that’s underground: the bulb, rhizome, tuber or corm. These are actually a food storage organ that helps fuel future growth. Knowing a little about different types of organs can help you better understand how these plants grow and how you should handle them at planting time.
This class will also cover how to identify annuals using clues like flower, color, plant form, leaf type and leaf arrangement.
At least 20 different bulbs and annuals – all staff favorites – will be covered in this class.
This class will take place both indoors and out, so dress accordingly. Lunch will not be provided, so please bring your own. Refrigerator and microwave available if needed.
