The biology of any organism determines its behavior, habitat requirements and basic needs for food, water, and shelter. Think Like A Butterfly: Establishing a Monarch Waystation explores how butterfly biology influences butterfly behavior while at the same time informing the gardener when developing, designing, and sharing real estate with monarchs and other butterflies. Since long-distance migration is unique to North American monarchs, participants will catch, tag, and release monarch butterflies en route to overwintering sites in Mexico.
