Cenchrus purpureus Princess
completely burned by cold.
Its about 21/2 feet tall very vigrous
The purple foliage is beautiful, but the older leaves sometimes form unsightly brown cast offs around the base. A great Phormium ‘Atropurpureum’ substitute (that unfortunately isn’t evergreen).
Looks great with orange. picture below illustrates foliage problem mentioned above. But EK, this is a poor stand in for my phormium fantasy.
leaves emerging slowly. some winter damage
Divided into several clumps and re-planted in L-12
Has a little bit of leaf cold damage.
May need more sunlight than it is receiving in its current location.
