Transplanted 21 seedlings to 32s with perlite mix. Very poor percentage germinaton. Seed flats still under mist.
Transplanted 27 seedlings to qts with bark mix.
Drought and heat tolerant. The plants in F-11 were very root bound, and were planted just before a string of 100 F days. And while they were cut back before planting, they’ve shown no ill effects from the heat or lack of rain.
Green seeds forming and decorative.

Seed heads beginning to turn rusty brown. I’ll hold off on using them in arrangements and wreaths until fall, as I find they look best either totally green in May/June or totally dried/brown in October.
Green healthy seed panicles abound and flow in the wind.
Seeds are the perfect brown for harvesting in dried arrangements.
