**COVID-19 Information: Moore Farms Botanical Garden has made, and will continue to make, adjustments to its summer camp offerings to provide a safe camp experience for everyone involved. Camp size has been reduced to allow for adequate social distancing, and outdoor activities have been prioritized. Face masks must be worn by campers and camp staff each day. All surfaces and high-use materials will be regularly cleaned and disinfected. Handwashing with soap and water will be reinforced, and hand sanitizing stations are readily available, too. Camp staff and campers who are sick or have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 must stay home.**

Garden Apprenticeship
June 7 & 9, 21 & 23 (9:00am – 12:00pm)
July 12 & 14, 26 & 28 (9:00am – 12:00pm)
Ages: 12-16
Admission: Free ($10 application fee)
Class Size: 12
The Garden Apprenticeship provides twelve youth the opportunity to participate in an immersive garden experience. They will be given an area of the garden to prepare, plant, and care for over the course of the program. Through this they will be able to learn about plant nutrients, parts of the flower, pollination, and the biomechanics of plant care.
The purpose of the Garden Apprenticeship is to educate, inspire, and provide an opportunity for youth to explore what they are passionate about from start to finish. They will gain a solid foundation of the knowledge needed to begin their own garden or maintain one that is already established. The opportunity to learn from multiple horticulturists and other educators is how we provide a unique experience to build upon.
Interested parties should apply by May 20th using the link below. There will be a $10 application fee, but that is just for the application. The fee does not guarantee you a spot. From the applicant pool, twelve youth will be chosen and informed by May 27th. The chosen participants will fill out a registration form by the first date of the apprenticeship, June 7th.
