**COVID-19 Information: Moore Farms Botanical Garden has made, and will continue to make, adjustments to its summer camp offerings to provide a safe camp experience for everyone involved. Camp size has been reduced to allow for adequate social distancing, and outdoor activities have been prioritized. Face masks must be worn by campers and camp staff each day. All surfaces and high-use materials will be regularly cleaned and disinfected. Handwashing with soap and water will be reinforced, and hand sanitizing stations are readily available, too. Camp staff and campers who are sick or have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 must stay home.**

2023 CAMPS

Culinary Camp: Beginner

June 5-9 (10:00am – 2:00pm)
Ages: 7-9
Admission: $100
Class Size: 8

Culinary Camp: Beginner provides an opportunity for budding chefs to learn the basics of cooking. They will be introduced to a kitchen setting where we will harvest directly from our vegetable garden and learn how to use that produce in a sampling of dishes. Cooking basics that we will cover include how to hold and use a knife, reading a recipe, measuring ingredients, and kitchen safety. We encourage the campers to try these new skills and expand their palate. Their skills will be showcased at the end of the week when they create and serve a meal for their families.

Campers are asked to dress in close-toed shoes and come prepared to create and taste all that our garden can provide!

Ages: 10-13
Admission: $150
Class Size: 8

Culinary Camp: Intermediate provides young chefs with the opportunity to observe a working vegetable garden and learn about eating sustainably. They will be taught knife skills, time management, and how to use fruits and vegetables from the garden in a variety of dishes. This program is for youth that have some experience in cooking or baking at home as we will build upon a foundation. Their skills will be showcased at the end of the week when they create and serve a meal for their families.

Garden Detectives

July 24 – 28 (9:30am – 12:30pm)
Ages: 4-6
Admission: $75
Class Size: 10

In Garden Detectives we want to begin to familiarize youth ages 4-6 with the world around them to encourage learning and exploration using the five senses. We will learn about helpful garden critters and what it takes to make plants grow. The campers will discover interactions within the garden and participate in both indoor and outdoor activities.

Campers are asked to bring a snack and lunch and come dressed for the outdoors!
