Join us in an afternoon of historical art! South Carolina native, Jennifaye Kimberly Wright Singleton is an expert Sweetgrass Basket weaver and is honoring us by sharing her craft with the public! Participants will enjoy a lecture about the history of Gullah Geechee livings and the art of sweetgrass baskets followed by the making of their very own basket!
Materials include a combination of sweetgrass, pine needles, bullrush, and palmetto leaves. Each basket has its very own characteristics which makes them all one of a kind. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity, get your tickets today!
Although we are not open to the public on a daily basis, you can view our dynamic, breathtaking property through tours, events, or by taking one of our camps or classes.
