Whether you hear CCR's "Run Through the Jungle" or visualize giant leafy plants all around, the term "tropical" in gardening generates a myriad of different definitions for what it should be. Is it bananas? Is it bamboo? Or palm trees, perhaps? In this class, we'll take a look at some of the basic requirements for cultivating marginally hardy plant material, considerations for its design and long-term benefit (such as methods of overwintering), and examples of plant selections and sources from which to purchase them.
